Understanding Content Organization

This is a brief explanation of how content is organized in your CMS. Your content will be organized first by Section Second by Category and Third by Item or your actual articles. You can have as many Sections, Categories and Items as you require and they can be added at anytime.

As time passes you will build up content, your content will be stored in a data base. Having your content in an organized structure like this makes it possible for your visitors to search for the information they need and for you to combine information to make new additional pages for your site.

Content Hierarchy:

Sections:
A section would be the main topic, or top level subject. For this example our section will be named "Race Tracks".

Categories:
In the section "Race Tracks" we will have several categories.
  • NASCAR Tracks
  • Motocross Tracks
  • Flat Tracks
  • Go Cart Tracks

Items:
News items or articles or what ever you want to term your actual content, is organized under the specific category.  Section -> Category -> Items.
